 In Venue visits

We recently visited The Savoy Hotel in London for an evening site inspection and dinner.

Approaching the well known Savoy Hotel entrance by car, alongside the Savoy Theatre, allowed us to spot a celebrity which started our evening off well!

Savoy Hotel
The hotel has 267 luxury bedrooms & suites in 2 period styles, Edwardian and Art Deco. They are all individually designed and extremely stylish. Many of the bedrooms have wonderful views overlooking the Thames and the London Eye. A little added touch is a photograph in each bedroom showing a celebrity/famous person who has stayed in that particular room – from past or present!

The small meeting spaces are ideal for executive board meetings and private dining. The Pinafore Room is well known as the place where “The Other Club” meet whilst parliament is in session. Many authoritative figures & politicians have eaten here over the years.

There is a separate entrance from the street, overlooking the Thames which works well for the larger event spaces on the lower floors.

The Lancaster Ballroom is the largest space accommodating up to 800 guests for a reception with the Parlour Rooms adjacent makes this space self-contained and private.

Dinner at Kaspar’s Seafood Bar & Grill was a real treat, where we dined on seafood & shellfish. There is also Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill next door and afternoon teas are legendary served in the beautiful Savoy Lounge.

After dinner we took a peek at the 2 bars at the hotel, the Beaufort Bar & the American Bar where the cocktails were flowing – shame we all had to drive home later! It was a lovely evening at The Savoy Hotel and great to be reminded of the facilities the Hotel can offer.

Thank you to both Sophie & Chanelle for your kind hospitality and showing us around.
