Ashford Castle is situated in 350 acres of land on the picturesque shores of Lough Corrib, Ireland. The Castle dates back to 1228 and has been fully restored to it’s former glory. George V Dining Room built in honour of his visit in 1905 by the Guinness family has a regal feel with panelled walls and chandeliers and bestows a grand sense of occasion.
The Dungeon restaurant offers a bistro-style menu focusing on Irish cuisine. With its curved stone ceiling you can enjoy dinner in a unique setting.
Cullen’s at the Cottage offers a relaxed dining experience in the thatched building – choose from the local dishes inspired by Red Carnation Hotel owner Beatrice Tollman.
The 3 unique spaces of the 16th century Wine Cellars can be privately hired for tasting and dinners.
There is an award winning spa which has 5 treatment rooms, hammam, steam room and a terrace area.
For meetings the largest room is the Ardilaun which can hold 75 for a dinner. For a smaller group the elegant Connaught has views over Lough Corrib and the Gardens .
There is also a 32 seater cinema and a small boardroom.
Set within the Ashford Estate is the Lodge which has 24 bedrooms and 26 suites. There is another fine dining restaurant called ‘Wilde’s’ or you can enjoy an informal drink (or two) at Quay Bar.
The Lodge has a ballroom for 395 reception, the wall of 6ft windows flooding the room with natural daylight and it’s own reception area for registration and refreshment breaks.
